Alexis Stephens

Founder & Executive Director

Alexis is deeply rooted in the Tampa Bay community as a Ridgewood High School and University of South Florida alumna and as a professional who serves the community as a local real estate agent. Inspired by her brother, Santino, and by her experiences attending and working at local Title 1 schools, she founded Santino’s Steps to provide resources, support, and experiences for children with special needs and children and families with limited access to resources. As Executive Director, Alexis oversees program planning, volunteer coordination, and community partnerships, ensuring every child has access to safe, welcoming spaces where they can grow, learn, and connect.

Kelley Cho-Stephens

Secretary, Board of Directors

Kelley is the Senior Director of PR and Communications at Goodwill Hawaii, bringing over 10 years of nonprofit experience in public relations, strategic communications, and organizational leadership. Passionate about supporting underserved children and families, Kelley serves as Secretary on the board, guiding governance and strategic planning while helping ensure Santino’s Steps stays true to its mission of creating inclusive, empowering programs for all children.

Amine Boukil

Treasurer, Board of Directors

Amine is a St. Petersburg native and a first-generation college graduate with a professional background in supply chain. His personal experience navigating the challenges of being a first-generation student inspires his passion for helping children access opportunities, especially through sports and programs that provide resources and guidance they might not otherwise have. As Treasurer, he ensures Santino’s Steps manages its resources effectively to support programs that empower children and families in the community.

Jimmy Stephens

Director of Community Engagement

Jimmy is a veteran and seasoned entrepreneur, with a natural talent for connecting with people. Growing up in a tough East Boston neighborhood with a single mom, limited resources, and frequent challenges in the social system, he experienced firsthand the financial and social barriers many families face. Inspired by his own upbringing and by his son, Santino, he is passionate about supporting children from underserved families and those with special needs. Jimmy leads outreach, donor relations, and communications for Santino’s Steps, dedicated to improving the quality of life and future of Santino and other children by creating meaningful connections that provide inclusive programs, resources, and opportunities for families in the community.
